Special interests – Chicago AMA is organized into the following 5 planning divisions:
Professional development and networking needs of our diverse membership and other Chicago marketers are met by special interest areas which plan and execute a wide range of programs and services. All events are open to all members, and you don't have to be employed within a particular industry or functional area to volunteer within that area.
- Business-to-Business Marketing (B2B): develops educational offerings targeted to marketers in Chicago's business-to-business community
- Communications: manages all chapterwide communications initiatives and relating materials
- Consumer Marketing: develops educational offerings targeted to marketers of consumer products and services
- Market Research: develops educational offerings targeted to market research professionals
- Membership: spearheads outreach initiatives for member relations and develops networking events designed to build member participation and encourage interaction among marketers
- Strategic Marketing: provides educational programs to aid Chicago-area marketers' in their strategy and planning efforts
Speakers — recruit speakers, serve as liaison between program committee and scheduled speakers.
Location — serve as liaison between program committee and program facility catering manager
Prospect Lists — identify prospective non-member participants and determine the best way to reach them.
Registration — serve as liaison between Chicago AMA hotline operators and program committee, coordinate attendee check-in.
Event Evaluation — develop, tally attendee surveys and provide feedback to program committee.
