Exciting Changes for Chicago AMA in 2011-12

In response to member input, and in an effort to deliver more targeted content to key segments within our diverse membership, CAMA is expanding our Shared Interest Group (SIG) offerings from the current four to at least 10 over the coming year.  In addition to providing more choices for members, SIGs will refocus their efforts from programming toward sharing of skills, knowledge and experiences amongst group members.

The new SIGS were chosen based on membership data including industry breakdown, “Topics of Interest” rankings as well as on the chapter’s SIG experience and best practices from other AMA chapters.

The new SIGs are a combination of industries and key marketing functional areas:

  • Consulting & Professional Services Marketing
  • Consumer Packaged Goods Marketing
  • Digital Media
  • Social Media
  • Financial Services Marketing
  • Healthcare Marketing
  • Higher Education Marketing
  • Integrated Marketing
  • Market Research
  • Marketing for Manufacturers
  • Non-profit Marketing

We are currently looking for SIG leaders and members.  In order to lead a SIG you must be a current CAMA member; however, SIG participation is open also to non-members. For more information about joining a SIG, please contact Paul Stark, Director, SIG Development at SIGs@chicagoama.org.
